Halloweeeen

Germans are catching on to Halloween. Here you have to be dressed up scary though. Today I was a "dead" Schweinsteiger, because dressing up as a soccer player was not scary enough. Or scary at all. The teachers put on a good show - zombie's, grim reaper, vampire, pippi longstocking, minnie mouse, a cheetah, and a robber to name a few. We had the kids bring in cakes to sell during a dance party and brought in over 300 euros that will go towards outdoor equipment. The dancing was a lot of fun and it was scary how much cake there was being eaten by the little ones. And there was SO MUCH left over. I came home with a sugar high and a stomach ache. My kiddies are out now doing some trick or treating and then we will eat my favorite pumpkin soup. Yummmm..

This weekend my friend Beth was in town and stayed here and we got a lot of shopping in. I really integrated her in and got her to bike ride all around town with me. She did a great job. Woot!

I found 2 winter jackets, jeans, and leggings this weekend. I am a shopping queeeeeeen ever since I put it in my budget. ;)

Pictures of my darling students will probably be available upon request.
